About half way between Vancouver and Calgary, and just off of Highway 1, is the city of Revelstoke, dam of Revelstoke, and ski resort of Revelstoke. They like the name Revelstoke in Revelstoke, and apparently some of them like skiing and snowboarding as well. This resort uses high speed lifts to access a large amount and variety of terrain, making it one of the best advanced ski areas in BC.

Sun Peaks Resort can be found to the north-east of Kamloops. It's made up of 3 mountains, so as you can imagine is quite a large area. They claim the title of being the second largest ski area in Canada. The village is also one of the most well-developed.

Sunshine Village is a big mountain resort close to Calgary and Banff. It's made up of several mountains if you want to get specific, but the entire ski area is accessed by one lift at the base lodge. Fortunately this lift is the Gondola, and is the fastest lift and has the highest capacity, so the base area doesn't get too bottlenecked with the crowds.
