Hemlock Valley Resort is located in the Fraser Valley, close to Chilliwack, Mission and Abbotsford. The road up is gnarly but once you make it to the lodge it's a nice little area. Four lifts service the ski area which is 121 hectares with a 400m vertical drop.

Red Mountain Resort claims 28% of the runs in the ski area are double blacks. That's definitely a bit more than average! There is a ton of vertical on the 3 mountains that make up Red. It is probably one of the best places in BC to be on a powder day during a season when the snowpack is good.

Sunshine Village is a big mountain resort close to Calgary and Banff. It's made up of several mountains if you want to get specific, but the entire ski area is accessed by one lift at the base lodge. Fortunately this lift is the Gondola, and is the fastest lift and has the highest capacity, so the base area doesn't get too bottlenecked with the crowds.
