While it's billed as an XC or all-mountain tire, this is no weight-weenie race tire designed for folks who toss and turn at night, worried about grams and rolling resistance. The High Roller II is an aggressive tire, designed to rail white-knuckle turns down sketchy, steep sections of singletrack. However, despite its aggressive appearance, the High Roller II is a legitimate all-mountain or aggressive XC tire with the low weight and pedal-ability to support this claim. With its sharp, aggressive side lugs, the High Roller II is easily recognized. These lugs are a softer compound than the aggressive center lugs, which are designed for braking or accelerating, depending on whether the tire is on the front or the back of the bike.
