As fans of De Marchi's Contour Pro design ethos can attest that no one else makes a bib short that's quite as comfortable or carefully constructed. That being said, it's easy to see the parallels between the Leggero Men's Bib Shorts and the Contour Pro fit. However, unlike its elder sibling, the Leggero is engineered with lighter-weight materials that make it an ideal companion for those hot-as-hell rides. And while the Leggero surely isn't as cool and refreshing as a glass of chilled limoncello on a sweltering summer day, the bib short does features a lightweight, flexible, and more breathable fabric (than years prior) to assure you're guaranteed the moisture management and unencumbered confidence you need. Said fabric is also designed as such that it offers targeted muscle support, reducing fatigue and allowing you to make the most of the miles ahead of you. Perhaps more importantly, though, De Marchi uses Elastic Interface's Endurance chamois in the Leggero for comfort that privileges the kind of breathability you need in temperatures flirting with the triple digits. Known as its long-distance chamois, the Endurance Air incorporates high-density, ventilated cushion elements to support the ischial bones. The perineal zone incorporates channels of open cell foam, which is more compressed to better accommodate the cycling position. Additionally, the seamless shaping perfectly contours to the shorts' paneling to eliminate bunching and creates a middle channel where the body stays suspended for effective pressure relief and improved blood flow. Putting the cherry atop this proverbial aperitif, the bib itself is made from a thin, yet stretchy mesh that bolsters ventilation and cool downs.
