The stiff flex is created by a full sidewall, metal layer, and carbon laminate all sandwiched around a lightweight balsa core. The full sidewall provides torsional rigidity, the carbon laminate creates a responsive and consistent flex, and the titanal layer stiffens the overall feel and offers exceptional binding retention.
