The Barrier Skull Cap is like Pearl Izumi's Thermal Skull Cap in that its ergonomic fit layers comfortably under your helmet. It also shares the Thermal model's ability to wick away moisture and insulate your head. The difference lies in the front panel, where the Barrier Cap incorporates Pearl's Barrier shell to block the wind on your head's leading edge. The Barrier Skull Cap is finished with a ponytail port to accommodate a ponytail or the party end of a Karpets-esque mullet. The port routes long hair without interfering with helmet retention dials, so the cap's layer-friendly fit isn't compromised because of long hair.
