Many of us are familiar and have experienced the fastidious attention to detail and high-quality materials that make Assos' clothing so popular on the road and now it's focusing that same energy into the off-road world and has created XC-specific clothing and what we have here is its XC Short-Sleeve Jersey. The demands placed on clothing while trail riding is obviously different than riding on the road as you don't get the benefits of the constant higher speeds to cool you off and let's face it, you're more likely to take a spill off-road, so we want something that breathes well and is durable. Assos tested the jersey with its sponsored racers on the BMC MTB Racing team ensuring every detail was refined for off-road riding. Assos crafts this jersey out of its lightweight Type. 157 Stripe Tex to ensure maximum breathability on those long, exposed climbs. Its stretchy circular knit gives you a great range of motion, wicks sweat, and is quick to dry. Additionally, it provides UPF35 sun protection and has odorControl that keeps the jersey fresh, ideal if you've packed light on your travels. Under the arms, it uses an even more breathable 3-Mesh fabric under the arms and the jersey is cut for an off-road fit meaning a little more room since aerodynamics isn't really an issue and the reach to the bars isn't as great. If you need to add some additional airflow, the full-length cam lock zipper lets you easily do so. A carryover from the road, and perhaps it'll be appreciated even more here, is its Triple ramp pockets, finished in its color-blocked torpedoGrey, that sits at the ideal height for easy access and has a lip that when loaded, prevents items inside from littering the trails.
