Hermann Maier wins World Cup race at Lake Louise
Alberta was host to men's Downhill and Super G races this past weekend. On Sunday 35 year old Austrian legend Hermann Maier won for the first time in nearly 3 years, finishing .59 seconds ahead of Canada's John Kucera in the Super G. As the runner up Kucera becomes the first Canadian male skier to be on the podium more than once at a FIS Alpine World Cup race on home soil. Peter Fill of  |

Banff-Lake Louise Resorts will be First to Open in Canada!
Banff, Alberta, Canada - Mt. Norquay and Lake Louise Ski Area will be the first two ski resorts to open in Canada! Both openings on Saturday 8th November will see lifts start at 9am, benefitting from the recent snowfall on Canada's Protected Playground, Banff National Park.
