Peak 2 Peak Gondola OPENS (video)
The record breaking gondola connecting the peaks of Whistler and Blackcomb is finally open to the public! The ride only takes 11 minutes with trams hanging up to 415 meters above the valley below. One of the first passengers took some video of the ride, which you can watch here:  |

Hermann Maier wins World Cup race at Lake Louise
Alberta was host to men's Downhill and Super G races this past weekend. On Sunday 35 year old Austrian legend Hermann Maier won for the first time in nearly 3 years, finishing .59 seconds ahead of Canada's John Kucera in the Super G.
