Located just outside of Terrace, Shames Mountain is one of just a few ski resorts in northern BC. It has been in operation since 1990 but needs some new owners in order to remain open next season and beyond. That's where you come in.
A group of locals has set up an organization called My Mountain Co-op to try to save their home mountain from closing down. They intend to raise $2 million through donations and membership sales, and use this money to purchase the resort and to pay operating costs. If successful members of the Co-op will receive perks and be able to vote on the board of directors.
