Orage Masters
If you ask Orage, they'll tell you "The Masters is what ski events are supposed to be".
Eight teams of four skiers (1 female & 3 male) battling head to head in an event that's truly taken on a life of its own.
Rightfully dubbed the "Anti-comp", The Orage Masters is one part slopestyle, one part free for all and one part masquerade party. And the only place you'll find skiing's heavy weights riding in anything from wizard of oz costumes, to chuck Norris suits to pirate outfits. Competing for unique prizing on a custom built slope course, The Orage Masters is unlike anything you've ever seen before.
Don't miss the 5th instalment of The Orage Masters at the WSSF on April 12, 2008.
If Ullr Was a Girl
Last year we asked ourselves, "what if Ullr was a girl? What would she be like?" Then we spent the entire winter looking for her - the ultimate mountain woman. In the end, over 400 kick ass skiers and riders from every discipline - big mountain, park & pipe, boarder x, you name it - came out of the woodwork and threw their hats in the ring for a chance to compete.
This year, we're searching again. The criteria is the same - we've updated the ifullrwasagirl.com site and are putting the word out to chicks who can both rip and demonstrate their passion for the mountains. All you need to do to be a part of it again this year is go to ifullrwasagirl.com, and add your profile, pics and video. Then, if you are one of four lucky girls chosen by our panel of judges, you'll win a seven day, six night trip to Whistler to compete in the Finals with 12 invited pros from April 11-20 during the 2008 TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival. This year, a whole new $25,000 grand prize is up for grabs again.

World Backcountry Freeride Jam
Free your heels and free your mind. This three day festival within the festival celebrates the quest for the cold smoke of unpatrolled terrain and the freshest tracks. Get back to the roots of modern skiing, when self-propelled was the only way up, and purity came with a good sweat.
Events include amateur and pro backcountry competitions, the The North Face Canadian Ski Mountaineering Championships, chances to demo the latest backcountry equipment, to meet and learn from the professionals, avalanche clinics, and out of bounds tours.
And it's all free.
Visit the wbfj.ca site for more information.
