The BC Split was one of Prior's first splitboards made nearly three decades ago, and in those thirty years Prior has refined it for modern backcountry touring. For this season, the BC Split XTC Carbon Splitboard has carbon stringers to amplify stiffness without weighing your legs down. Prior built the BC Split out of lightweight aspen and poppy poplar in vertical laminates for a natural, moderate flex that's suitable for most riders on the mountain. The quad-axial fiberglass wrap conforms to the core naturally for better manipulation on the downhill. There are vertical sidewalls to beef up the board's durability and tuning ability. The sintered base boasts plenty of speed for fast-paced tours through the backcountry. Prior's directional Freeride Rocker shape gives this board a true, all-mountain performance for the utmost versatility on a wide range of snow conditions. The rockered tips ease turn initiation in deep powder, on the uphill and the down, while camber between the inserts adds stability, rebound, and edge control on firmer snow.
