In addition to the nearly flat ramp angle, you'll find that the raised toe allows a ski pole tip to penetrate and clear snow from under the toe jaws. Heelpieces can be rotated either clockwise or counterclockwise for touring, and the lifters work equally well in both directions. Best of all, you drop over 100 grams of weight from each ski by losing the brake and toe step in guides. We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
