New for 2020-2021, the Agent 4. 0 is Faction's widest touring option, with a burly 116mm waist suited for playful surfiness and authoritative charging in soft snow conditions. Unlike the rest of the Agent series, the 4. 0 is constructed with a lightweight Paulownia woodcore, which offers additional dampness compared to the Karuba core featured in the rest of the line. The Agent 4. 0 is suited for someone looking for a ski that sits in between a dedicated touring ski and a standard alpine ski, with a descending capability that provides uncompromising performance in a sub-2,000g package for endless peak-bagging possibilities.Faction achieves this versatile ski performance by minimizing weight wherever possible. Paulownia serves as a stable core material that is significantly lighter than more popular materials like poplar or ash. A full carbon weave throughout the length of the ski offers the stiffness of an alpine ski at a fraction of the weight, allowing you to charge steep untouched lines or the occasional crud-crushing resort lap with equal confidence. The freeride flat tail implements added stiffness for a strong finish to the turn, and added support on landing for stomping airs.
