With a nimble shape and DPS's stiff Foundation construction, the Cassiar 87 Foundation Ski craves steep, firm groomers, but possesses the ability to sniff out leftovers in the trees, and even handle a few inches of fresh if an unexpected storm delivers. Smack in the middle of the Cassiar family, the 87-millimeter waist is a great choice for everyday adventures in the resort, with a rockered tip to get you through softer snow, and underfoot camber for a solid edge hold when the going gets really firm. The Foundation construction is built around a bamboo and poplar core, which blends the strength of bamboo with the fun-loving pop of poplar, sandwiched between layers of unidirectional carbon and triaxial fiberglass to provide impressive power transfer and dampness at speed and through more variable conditions. Unlike the weight-saving cap construction of the Tour1, the Foundation construction employs vertical UHMW sidewalls to increase torsional stability and edge hold, giving you a solid feeling as you open up your speed.
