It also works with the DK Impact Spine Protector for added protection in case disaster strikes, and has space for a two-way radio handset to keep you in contact with emergency services. Plus, the sternum strap has a rescue whistle so you can alert fellow skiers to help you join in a rescue effort. Once all of your safety gear is loaded up you'll be able to focus on the other awesome features of this pack as you travel through the backcountry. A deployable helmet carry keeps your helmet stashed as you push your way up the skin track, and when you're finally towards the summit a set of ski and snowboard carries lets you keep your hands free on technical bootpacks.
