We want the Armada Tracer 108 Ski on our side when we're eyeing big lines or backside bowls of fresh snow. The Tracer 108 is an all-mountain ripper with a 108mm waist that charges the steep and deep but still performs in variable snow. The rockered profile floats the deep stuff with giddy, childlike joy, while camber underfoot lets us carve turns down hardpack like a spandex-clad GS racer. The Tracer 108's hybrid wood core features lighter wood in the tip and tail with denser wood underfoot to create a playful and maneuverable flex pattern for effortless turn initiation. All of Armada's new Tracer skis feature a mesh layup that maintains dampness and stability for a smooth ride when you're blasting through chunky crud. While not the lightest option for a touring setup, for the cliff-dropping freerider with quads of steel these sticks would be well worth a bit of a slog for the terrain-devouring downhill capabilities the Tracer 108 possesses.
